Dr. Dilip K. is a Consultant in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation; Gastrointestinal, Advanced Minimal Access and Obesity surgery practicing in many of the leading Hospitals in Bangalore, India. He has 15 years experience in the field of Surgery. He has special interest in Liver Transplantation, Cancer surgery of Liver, Pancreas, Gall bladder, Stomach and esophagus. He is trained in Laparoscopic Colorectal Cancer Surgery. He is closely involved with the liver transplantation team for more than 200 live and cadaveric liver transplantations and more than 600 liver resections. He is performing laparoscopic bariatric surgery (Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Bypass) for the last few years. He has authored a text book titled “LIVER TRANSPLANTATION” which is first of its kind from an Indian author in the field of liver transplantation. This book is published by Jaypee publishers, New Delhi, India. It was released as 2010 International edition.

After his medical schooling and post-graduation in General Surgery from India, he finished his advanced laparoscopic surgery training from Mumbai, India. Then he served in Indian armed forces as surgeon and worked in various places in India like Mumbai, Kolkata, Goa and Visakhapatnam. Then he did his 2 years Fellowship in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation (recognized by International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association) from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan (Republic of China), one of the internationally reputed and prestigious institutions in South-East Asia. Then he completed 06 months fellowship in Laparoscopic colorectal surgery from the same institution. He worked under Prof. Miin-Fu Chen, Prof. Chao-Long Chen, Prof Po-Huang Lee and Prof Wei-Chen Lee. Then he relocated to Bangalore India in 2009 and practicing in Bangalore since then. He is associated with leading hospitals like MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, HCG Cancer center, Yashomathi Hospital, Columbia Asia Referral Hospital and Hosmat Hospital in Bangalore.
