HIGHLIGHTS

Bumrungrad was the first Asian hospital accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the international arm of the organization that reviews and accredits American hospitals. Their checklist includes over 350 standards, for everything from surgical hygiene and anesthesia procedures to the systems in place to credential medical staff and nurses. JCI sends a team to re-review hospitals at 3-year intervals. Bumrungrad was first accredited in 2002, re-accredited in 2005 and 2008.

Thailand also has its own Hospital Accreditation program conducted by the Institute of Hospital Quality Improvement & Accreditation. Bumrungrad was the first hospital in the country to be accredited by this program in 1999 and was reaccredited in triennial reviews in 2002 and 2005. The Thai accreditation process is demanding: Bumrungrad is one of only 14 private hospitals in Bangkok (out of over 100) to earn it.

TESTIMONIALS

Mrs April Fountain USA: I came into the hospital in so much pain and so scared. Absolutely everything about Bumrungrad, from the admission process to the follow up care was THE most amazingly wonderful experience. I have never had this type of quality care, despite having been in myriad top notch hospitals in the United States. Mayo and Brigham and Womans hopspitals were very good but nothing like what I experienced at Bumrungrad. The care and attention were FANTASTIC and I still tell everyone I know if you need ANY care that requires a doctor or a dentist, do not hesitate but go to Bumrungrad.

Tariq Ali Al Sahlani: I left Bumrungrad International with a happy memories. My words to say thank you is not enough, from day 1 that I was in the hospital until I depart it was a superb and excellent service for all your staff assisting me and especially to you Dr. Visuit and Dr. Sukitti. I just recently came back to work and I am still continuing my medicine and my diet. I would like to extend my gratitude and my sincere appreciation to thank you and to all the management and staff of Bumrungrad International. It was truly an unforgettable experienced, your effort made a difference because you all took the time to organise and arrange everything for the success of my operation. I admire you all for the energy, enthusiasm and the passion that you have shown towards me. Everyone in your team have done a very superb service. Once again, thank you for your support and I am sure you will be more successful and remembered always for its exceptional service and superb staff.

Fredrick Cabanas: I want to thank you for being my Surgeon. You were very efficient, and I was really impressed with the minimal amount of expected scaring. I was expecting to have a lot of stitches, the wound to be much lower and to have a lot of discomfort. I only have about 2 inches of stitches at the belt-line and a little-bit of internal bruising. I was also very pleased with the Hospital, and I would be happy to recommend your Hospital to other potential patients.I'm glad you were my recommended Surgeon, and you were able to help me.

Mr. Lowell Barton USA: I'm a 71-year-old male who was diagnosed with cancer by a Major Cancer Center in the US. I was given the standard prognosis of six months to two years to get my private matters in order.Needless to say, I searched for second opinions and to make a long story short I am still fighting a winning, but sometimes difficult battle after 13 years, much of it fought with the excellent care and support provided me by Bumrungrad Hospital. Over the past several years I have developed a relationship of trust with a number of the wonderful doctors on your staff. In one way or another each of these doctors saved my life over the past few years. I’ve never felt a need to compliment an organization which provides levels of service that are normal; however Bumrungrad's level of service is beyond exceptional. The spirit of the staff was inspiring to us and we will never forget it.

Eran Itan: I want to praise and thank for the lovely and caring service I got here in BI. The staff is very kind and handful. The rooms are very clean and the workers keep the service coming fresh towels, clean clothes, meals service and especially the nurses staff were absolutely fantastic.Although I was sick, I loved spending time here with such a good care and attention for my needs. Thank you again and keep up the good work.

Mr. Edward Koelling USA: I am not exactly sure of the dates that I saw Dr. Avtar S. at the end of June for a simple infection. I was most impressed by your facility, the competency of your staff, the high degree of technology employed, and with Dr. Avtar. I have spent a total of 98 days as an inpatient in several hospitals all related to diverticulitis which required removal of part of my intestine in 1989. I have nevert been treated at such a fine facility as Bumrungrad. If I could choose any hospital to have treatment at, it would be Bumrungrad without a doubt. Although my visit to your facility was for a rather simple ailment, I was not at ease with prior diagnosis and treatment until I was treated by Dr. Avtar. If I were a permanent resident of Bangkok, I would choose Dr. Avtar as my provider.

Mr. John Paul Blake UK: I just wanted to take a few mintues to thank you for the excellent experience I had at your hospital last week. I was admitted via the emergency room and I had to have my gall bladder removed in an emergency surgery. The nurses on the 7th floor really took great care of me from the time I came in until my surgery. I was in such great pain and being in a foreign country it can be a real scare going in for medical treatment. The nurse helped me get into my room, administered pain medication and checked on me constantly. They were so attentive and were a real comfort in my time of need. I must say, they were like angels around me. The doctors were also very professional and the surgical staff did a fine job. When they hit a snag they chose to work longer with the arthoroscopic equipment and add an additional camera instead of opening me up. This extra effort saved me weeks of recovery time and pain as well as function of my body in the future. Thank you so much to your great staff !!!!

Mrs. Hendrikus Daafhelaar Netherlands: The doctors and nurses were all very kind to me and my sons always wanted to talk to us. Sometimes it was difficult because we came from a foreign country(the Netherlands). Especially, I would thank Tommy (8 Floor) - IPD Customer Service who talk to me when I was crying. She was so good for me and Henk and sons. I will never forget her. Sometimes they took us out of the hospital to her own place and we had a very nice day at her home and could forget our troubles in the hospital. Very very many thanks for everything you all aid for us. I shall remember Thailand and the hospital.

Sue USA: We were at the airport, mid-way on an international flight, when my husband had a very painful kidney stone attack. The Bumrungrad representative at the airport set up an appointment for him and arranged for a taxi.He received exceptional care from the whole team of Dr.'s, nurses and aides while here. This is an excellent international medical facility and we couldn't have asked for better care. Even though we do not speak Thai, communication was not a problem, as they speak very good English.
The customer service department was also exceptional. They helped me get through everything I need while my husband was staying here.Thank you all so much.

Gregory USA: When I hurt my knee following a motorcycle accident in Vietiane, Lao PDR iwas recommened Bumrungrad Hospital. My doctor was kind, timely patient and could easily explain the process for my recovery. His confident self-assured manner awared me to trust him to conduct the surgery. The hospitaility support of the nurses kept my spirits up everyday. They were smiling always caring to attend my needs.I still have sometimes to go before I fully recover but I am confident that with the help of Bumrungrad and its people I will be soon ready to leave.
